We are a family run timber yard, processing and manufacturing a selection of wood and wooden goods. We are situated in the middle of beautiful woodlands high up in the Chiltern Hills at Scots Common, just outside Checkendon, near Reading. 

 

The business has been established for 70 years. It was founded by Norman and Barbara Cox and is now run by their son and daughter - Neil and Carol. 

 

Our timber yard is used for processing, manufacturing and the sale of one of the largest selections of timber, fencing and garden products in the area, to both trade and domestic clients. 

 

We are able to cut and prepare a wide range of softwood and green oak to customers' requirements. We have our very own pressure treatment plant on site offering both natural wood treatment for ground contact. 

 

Our skilled craftsmen are able to hand-craft outdoor buildings, rustic woodwork, garden furniture and features, and all manner of unusual decorative items. We are pleased to produce work to your own specifications and design, or if you prefer you can leave us to create something unique and special for you.
